Suki

To say that Suki is an awesome character is an extreme under statement. Suki is the tough, dependable and courageous leader of a group of women named the Kyoshi warriors. Suki started training to be a Kyoshi warrior at the age of 8 years old and even at that age it was apparent that Suki had an incredible skill. One day while patrolling her island home's coast she discovered a strange group of travelers and the rest is Avatar history.
Suki's Character is quite essential to the world of avatar because it is her character that pushes Sokka to not only become a better warrior but to be a better person as well.

Outfit 1:

Suki always has a pretty sporty look to her. She likes to be put together but wouldn't sacrifice comfort for style. She is quite different from Toph and Katara in how she dresses though because she's not as modest as either of them and she is between the two of them on the girly scale. Suki's biggest defining style factor is the polished sporty feel it has to it. To be honest Suki's style is very hard to pin down. It would be tempting to say that she would only wear sports wear but that isn't the case. Suki has an ambition and confidence around her that results in a completely unique fashion sense. I chose the top because it reminded me of the forest surrounding Kyoshi Island and the sleeves remind me of a kimono. The shorts fit nicely with the look but allow the wearer to run and jump and climb, along with the neat and tidy runners the baggy top is cinched at the waist with an earthy brown belt to accentuate the waist and the bag is a perfect Suki mix of earthy pretty and practical.

Outfit2:

this outfit invokes the warrior in Suki with the boots, army green tights and the ring. The top reminded me of Suki's Kyoshi warrior outfit and the shorts invoke the earthy side of Suki.

Outfit 3:

Here we go again with my favourite segment! This outfit is tough, sporty and feminine. The dress is comfy and allows a lot of movement. The colour of the dress not only reminds me of her uniform but also the forest surrounding her home. the leafy earrings and necklace add to that feel. the sweater has kimono like sleeves. The boots have a strong and earthy , yet feminine feel and the watch keeps thing sporty. Finally, the clutch adds a military chic edge to the outfit.

Azula

This is one of the posts I've been most excited for since I started this blog because for one thing Azula is my all time favourite character and for another she has a wicked sick fashion sense. Azula is the daughter of the fire lord, making her a princess. Anyone who watches the show knows that she's no ordinary princess, she is a fire bending prodigy as well as likely the scariest fourteen year old girl you will ever meet.
After her brothers failed attempt to capture the Avatar and her uncle's very public betrayal of the fire nation, Azula was enlisted by her father to capture them. had her captain not been an imbecile she would have succeeded in her plan to capture her brother. In light of her failure she decided that it may not be best to track her brother with an army but rather a small elite team. While enlisting the help of her friend Mai in the city of Omashu she comes across the avatar and the rest is avatar history.

Outfit 1:

Unlike Toph and Katara, Azula's style isn't all about comfort and practicality,. Azula's fashion sense is glamorous, a little edgy and sophisticated. Azula is the boss and she speaks that not only through her,"what glass roof?" attitude but her clothing. Azula lives in the constantly warm and tropical fire nation but the reality is that most of us have to deal with this lovely thing called snow(eye roll). I chose the coat because it's beautiful as well as style conscious, after all Azula wouldn't let the weather conquer her wardrobe. The dress I chose is very sophisticated and yet has a "right down to business feel to it. The knee high socks and military boots are trendy and the heels add height and therefore power (Azula is all about the power). The lighting jewelry I thought was a fun allusion to her lightningbending and the fox plays upon her sly, trickster persona. The earrings I thought were very glamorous and the animal print bag and bangles add a dangerous, daring feel to the look.

Outfit 2:

This is Azula's warm weather outfit. It has a relatively more "casual" feel to it. The skirt Kinda reminded me of her season one skirt ant the overall silhouette is quite similar to her season one outfit. The bracelet invokes the Asain inspired feel of her world and the lion earrings continues the queen of the jungle theme along with her shoes. The necklace reminded me of the warriors of the sun and the bag looks like a Chanel, we all know that Azula would buy designer.

Outfit 3:

Finally, we come to my favourite part, formal wear! Now anyone who said that Azula was modest was very mistaken, so I thought this curve hugging scarlet number was perfect. The earrings and the bracelet are perfectly glamorous (the look like a bunch of tiny suns). Now although Azula has no problem showing a little skin even a princess can get cold so I paired the ensemble with a gold foil cardigan. The gold and white clutch and red velvet shoes add a pretty level of sophistication, keeping the outfit from going over the top. I topped the whole thing off with a previously shown lightning bolt necklace.
Come on back next time for my piece on Suki style! :)
